We all think we know the story of Exodus. We
think it is the story of Moses, the burning bush, the plagues, the
crossing of the Red Sea, the Ten Commandments, the Tabernacle, the
wilderness journey. It is all of this and so much more. The book of
Exodus is the story of God revealing himself to his people. As the
Israelites and Egyptians learn more and more about the Lord, so do we.
Exodus is superb as a piece of literature for it has nail-biting
tension, majestic sweeps of action and at least one scene which brings
tears to your eyes. It is a book full of emotion. More importantly,
though, it is a book which extends into our modern lives as Christians
and offers help for us who, like the ancient Israelites, walk as
pilgrims towards a promised land.
We invite you to come and join us on this
journey. We will be meeting the second Saturday of each month from
September through April; from 8:00am – 10:30am. Please use the entrance
on the Northeast side of the building marked Sanctuary Entrance or
Kitchen. We meet in the Fellowship Hall.
Cost for this course will be $20.00.
